Dr. Impastato had the opportunity to teach spinal cord stimulation techniques at the Seattle Science Foundation’s Annual Interventional Pain Management Fellows Course in Seattle, Washington. This course brings together fellows from across the country for hands-on training with leaders in the field—and we’re honored that Dr. Impastato was invited to share his expertise.

As a teaching fellow for the event, Dr. Impastato helped guide the next generation of pain management specialists through best practices, innovative approaches, and real-world applications to improve patient outcomes.

🎉 A Milestone Moment! 🎉

This week, Dr. David Impastato performed Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery’s first Medtronic spinal cord stimulator (SCS) trial. To help mark the occasion, our partners at Medtronic generously brought breakfast for the team, along with a celebratory sign recognizing the milestone.

Our providers work with several leading neuromodulation vendors to offer spinal cord stimulator trials and implants. Introducing Medtronic’s platform further strengthens the range of advanced neuromodulation options we can provide, allowing us to better tailor treatment to each patient’s unique needs.

A spinal cord stimulator trial is a minimally invasive procedure used to help patients with chronic nerve-related pain. During the trial, thin leads are placed near the spinal cord to gently deliver electrical stimulation. This helps interrupt pain signals and allows patients to “test-drive” the therapy for several days before deciding on a permanent implant.

While Dr. Impastato has previous experience performing SCS trials and has used Medtronic technology in the past, this marks the first Medtronic SCS trial completed here at Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery—and we’re grateful to our team and patients who continue to trust us every step of the way.
