🪑Low Back Pain Getting Out Of A Chair?
If you suffer from low back pain, you know that getting out of a chair can be a challenge. In this video, we'll show you how to safely and effectively get out of a chair without aggravating your low back pain.
Step 1: Scoot to the Edge of the Chair
Start by scooting forward to the edge of the chair. This will help you get into the best position to stand up.
Step 2: Spread Your Feet Wide
Next, spread your feet wide apart to create a stable base and open up your hips.
Step 3: Hinge Forward at Your Hips
Hinge forward at your hips, keeping your back straight. This will help you engage your core muscles, maintain a neutral low back when bending forward and take the pressure off your low back.
Step 4: Squeeze Your Glutes and Stand Up
Finally, squeeze your glutes and push through your heels to stand up. This will help you use the powerful muscles in your legs and avoid straining your low back.
