With profound love and gratitude, we bid farewell to a shining star in heaven. As I sat beside this remarkable individual in their hospital bed, their words echoed deeply within me - my home had become their sanctuary, a place where they found solace and peace. I pledge to honor this cherished memory every day. To the selfless caregivers who devotedly served in my homes, I extend my heartfelt appreciation; your kindness and compassion embody the true essence of angels. Only those with extraordinary hearts are drawn to this noble profession. I will treasure the memory of this incredible person close to my heart until we meet again. I aspire to emulate their strength and resilience. During their many hospital visits, they demonstrated unwavering courage, and I made it a point to share their kindness and gentle spirit with the healthcare professionals who cared for them. They were a truly unique and strong individual. I will hold them in my heart forever. This journey of providing adult family care is not for the faint of heart, but it is a true privilege to walk alongside families and individuals in their final moments. There's no experience quite like it. Today, my heart is heavy with sorrow, yet I'm filled with gratitude knowing they are now at peace. I've gained invaluable lessons from them, and I'm grateful their family chose my home. Until we meet again, I have another mission. I'll carry their memory with me, striving to be as strong as they were. See you one day in paradise. Don't drive them all crazy up there.
