There’s something always inspiring about moving furniture around a little bit. Beginning to re-imagine the art studio and set up for future workshops. Caught a stunning rainbow on my daily country drive. Just minutes before it appeared I could hardly see as it downpoured. Such a meaningful reminder of hope and goodness, no matter when the colors paint the sky and unexpectantly grace your path. Sunsets and the tender gaze of the deer that have made our place home are simple daily gifts. Letting myself take time for imaginings to take root and grow. Things always seem to have their right timing.

Stopping by to share a few memories from the month of March. Had some beautiful time away to celebrate birthdays and creativity with grandchildren. Been continuing to explore hospitality with guests at the property and steps have begun to prepare the lower level for Healing Expression retreats down the road. Made some beautiful memories with family, dinner and Easter egg hunts. I am continuing to sort through and arrange spaces that inspire me in the new studio and preparing pieces to add to my Etsy store. My heart remains deeply invested in my healing journey work with courageous clients. Focusing on letting life lead and flow where it’s taking us. Grateful for the beginnings of dreams and plans for a place of respite and creative rest from all that is heavy in the world. Dear Ones…take good care.❤️

Sunday art session in the studio. I’ve been collecting some new imagery and inspiration, and finally sat among it all at my art table. It’s been quite some time since I’ve created a new mini artwork. It was meaningful to play again! This piece is awaiting a new home in my Etsy store❤️

Each week, in my capacity as a Story Informed Therapeutic Mentor, I am honored to sit across from clients who are braving the examination of their stories. To guide these precious souls through the journey to understanding and healing from trauma is such meaningful work.

Often there are layers of pain and tears that are brought into the room. It is a tender and sacred space. What always amazes me are the many expressions of music, art and creativity that clients spontaneously bring in. In an effort to try to give expression to experiences that are hard to find words for, or to find comfort and release for their emotions, music and art give voice for those trying to "tell the story". This piece was shared with me and I found it deeply beautiful.

Consider closing your eyes dear one and see what emotions stir in your heart as you listen.....

A little peak into the sites and sounds of the week. Enjoying opening time and space for hospitality up here at our place. Reflecting on the beautiful experience I had once again at the "The Writers Advance" Retreat last November. It seems so much happened at the end of the year when my Mom passed. Feels like I am slowly catching up to myself and where I was in time and space before the world shifted in her absence. I am always so grateful for this annual experience to rest and creatively connect to what moves and inspires me. Such a lovely, kind and supportive community as we all invite the words that desire to find their way to the page. Thank you Marc for the thoughtful space you provide!

I am slowly finding my way back into my art studio. The last three years of transition…selling and moving to an apartment, packing again then RV downsizing and storage unit while building our home, til finally unpacking and settling in… has had me feeling far away from fresh creativity as most of my artsy things were boxed away. Priorities were readjusted for the season of caretaking for those I love. As life has brought recent changes, I can feel the creative space whispering once again for me to come back and play. No expectations or pressure but a gentle call to inhabit the artist in me, explore and let art care for my own heart.

For now, I thought I would highlight art featured in my Etsy store. For the rest of February everything in my store will be 20% off.
