As the rainy, cooler weather moves in, come get warm and dry at yoga! Monday we will do a practice of repeating pose sequences, Wednesday a look and the beginner hand balance, Crow Pose (including a hands-free variation!), and sandwiched between a Gentle class with both standing poses and floor poses (chairs are available to help with those transitions).

Beginners always welcome!

This week on the mat! Monday, finding ways to increase or decrease the intensity of poses so you can fine-tune your practice to suit where you are on any given day. Tuesday, an all-floor Gentle class (chairs are available to help getting down and up from the floor!); and Wednesday, looking at the three main bhandas (energy lifts) in yoga, and how you can use them to aid in the physical poses. Wednesday we’ll finish up with a class on ways to use yoga straps in your practice — or, if we end up with more people than straps, we’ll work on Warrior Three.

This week on the mat: there’s a full moon Monday night, so we’ll do lunar flow that morning (super grounding, great for restlessness or anxiety; lots of hip work!). Tuesday, a Gentle class with a mix of standing and floor poses, and finishing Wednesday with a focus on abdominals — not just strengthening them, but massaging and stretching them as well!
