Others just to get to the finish line. Some of us race because how it makes us feel. Some to have fun and hang with our friends. Some race to give back to an important local charity. Some race in honor of someone we love or someone we have lost. Regardless of your WHY, we are all united on a mission to improve our own health and fitness, have fun, and hang out with like-minded people all while building our community, giving back and improving the lives of those in need. We operate from a belief system that if we all give a little it adds up to a whole lot! Together, collectively, we can achieve the extraordinary! Why Racing Events, an Event Management company, is committed to hosting runs/walks, triathlons, duathlons and other fitness events that allow for people to reach for their personal best while giving back to the community. We value fitness, fun, friends & family. Nothing brings us greater joy than watching people cross the finish line and knowing that we helped to facilitate that! So regardless of your WHY, know that we can all live life to the fullest while positively impacting others lives and making a big difference in our community.

After reviewing participant feedback, we’re excited to introduce a new option for our road races…
👉 The Shortcut Division

This division is designed for those looking to:

Cut corners (literally)
Skip the “mentally tough” middle miles
And arrive at the finish line a little… sooner 🥇
Participants in the Shortcut Division will follow a modified course designed by them, for them… keeping things efficient, enjoyable, and faster than everyone else.

Methods may include:

🛴Strategically placed scooters
🛞Those shoes with wheels (you know the ones)
💨Borrowing your faster friend’s bib (briefly)
🙌Skipping out-and-backs entirely
🫣Parking lot “shortcuts”
🍦Enjoying ice cream while catching an Uber to the finish
🌳Creative corner-cutting techniques

Timing will still be recorded.
Results will be… interpreted.

April is here and we’re getting right to it 👀🔥

We kick things off with Stub Stewart Trail Challenge and Crown Stub 100 with Bivouac… and roll straight into the Spring Classic Duathlon at the end of the month. Road, trail, multisport… pick your flavor.

And starting TODAY 👉 the WHY Run/Walk Streak Challenge is on.

Here’s the deal:
👉 1 mile a day (at least)
👉 Every day in April
👉 ANY outdoor run, walk, or hike counts

This is about building momentum, getting outside, and showing up daily.

Join us on Strava by requesting access or jump in virtually.
Post your progress, tag us, and use so we can follow along.

Girlfriends presented by The Vancouver Clinic

For two decades, this event has been a place to honor those impacted by breast cancer—survivors, fighters, and those we show up for in memory. What started as something deeply personal has grown into a powerful tradition rooted in connection, strength, and support.

We’re incredibly proud to partner with The Vancouver Clinic, whose commitment to women’s health and our local community helps us continue growing this event and the experience we create for everyone who shows up.

Together, we continue to support Pink Lemonade Project, providing essential services, financial assistance, and ongoing care to thousands in our community.

This is more than a run or walk.
It’s a place to gather, to support, and to move forward—together.
