Gas stoves represent a significant source of indoor air pollution affecting over 40 million U.S. households.
Research has documented substantial emissions:A 2024 study using reference and low-cost sensors found that indoor concentrations of one or more pollutants exceeded the U.S. EPA’s Air Quality Index level of 100 (for CO2, NO2, and PM2.5) or 2,000 ppm (for CO2) for an average of 99 minutes per day in homes with gas stoves during normal cooking activities.
Homes with gas stoves have nitrogen dioxide concentrations 50-400% higher than homes with electric stoves.
A 2006 study in Massachusetts and Connecticut found homes with gas stoves had, on average, nearly 3 times higher NO2 than homes with electric stoves over a 1-2 week period.

We hear it daily in our business -
"They told us we had to tear the walls out for mold mitigation."
(To the tune of tens of thousands of dollars!)

But I have a question...
Suppose we could destroy the mold (with a FAR higher percentage than mold mitigators unless they remove the ENTIRE house). Wouldn't it be wiser to leave the house intact and ONLY destroy the mold, mold particulates, and hyphal (mold fragments that can still be activated with moisture)?
We believe it would be.
