Join us for this FREE holistic wellness workshop!
Writing From the Soul, Gathering a Poem, facilitated by Lorijo Daniels

Writing from the Soul is an immersive art and writing experience grounded in meditative practice and gentle visualization.

The experience begins by turning inward through breath and imagery, creating a quiet space where the inner voice can rise with clarity and ease. Intuitive journaling invites words and impressions to surface naturally, without striving and without judgment.

From this centered place, meaningful words, phrases, and fragments are gathered from magazines, letters, or printed text and assembled into a personal found poem, an intuitive composition reflecting insight, memory, and inner transformation.

The poem is placed onto a painted canvas surface, where mark making becomes another form of expression. Brushstrokes, line, texture, and layered color expand the written word into visual presence. Pages are then hand-stitched together to form a small art book, a tactile artifact of the journey. The sewing becomes both binding and blessing, a quiet act of integration that honors what has been gathered from within.

VYFS presents the next Adventures with Movies and Emotions film A Monster Calls.

A Monster Calls is a powerful story about a young boy coping with grief, fear, and loss, guided by a mysterious tree monster who helps him face hard truths through storytelling. Tender, emotional, and visually striking, the film explores how sharing our pain can be a path toward healing.
