🎾🏌️♂️ Pickleball, Golf, or Tennis Players – Is Your Elbow Starting to Talk Back?
Living in Florida, we’re lucky to play sports year-round. But with all that swinging, serving, and gripping… elbow pain is incredibly common.
Two of the most frequent conditions we see are:
• Tennis Elbow (lateral epicondylitis) – pain on the outside of the elbow
• Golfer’s Elbow (medial epicondylitis) – pain on the inside of the elbow
Despite the names, you don’t have to play tennis or golf to get them. These injuries are usually caused by repetitive strain on the forearm tendons from gripping, swinging, or overuse.
Common signs include:
❌ Pain when gripping a racket, club, or paddle
❌ Weakness or reduced grip strength
❌ Persistent soreness on the inside or outside of the elbow
One treatment we’re using more and more in the clinic is Shockwave Therapy.
Shockwave therapy uses acoustic waves to stimulate healing in damaged tendon tissue, helping reduce pain and improve function in conditions like tennis elbow.
✔ Non-surgical
✔ Quick treatments (usually just a few minutes)
✔ Helps stimulate the body’s natural healing response
If elbow pain is keeping you from enjoying pickleball, golf, tennis, or even the gym, it might be time to address it before it becomes chronic.
