Guilt-free holiday eating? Yes please! The key is in the mindset and the portions.
• Before you arrive: don’t skip meals to “save” calories. Have a regular breakfast with protein, stay hydrated, and maybe do a light workout. Arrive satisfied, not starving.
• During the meal: slow down, savor each bite, chew more, put your fork down between bites, talk to the people you’re with. That helps you notice when you’re ~80% full.
• Dessert? Try a small slice or sample approach—3-4 bites of 2-3 desserts rather than a giant portion.
• After the meal, take a 15-30 minute family walk. Movement counts as celebration, not punishment.
Enjoy, relax, and then get back to your routine.
