REPOST-
✨ Early Steps Foothill Family 2 Part Workshop is hosted by Early Steps Foothill Family in partnership with GLAD on April 15, 2026 at 4 pm. This event will be online and livestreamed to Facebook.
Is your child showing challenging behaviors, like, tantrums, aggression, or social withdrawal? Not sure how to support?
This workshop will focus on why challenging behaviors may happen, how to use positive, appropriate strategies and tools to better understand their behaviors.
Now, what happens if you use these strategies and get therapies but maybe not enough or maybe not the right support? What do you?
This workshop will empower you to begin strengthening your parent advocacy potential and enforce your parental rights and use procedural safeguards to ensure your child is getting the appropriate support needed.

ID: The flyer is for an “Early Steps Foothill Family 2-Part Workshop” presented by GLAD, Early Steps Foothill Family, and the Department of Developmental Services. At the top, the logos of these three organizations appear in a row. The main title reads “Challenging Behaviors” in large brown letters, with the question “Is your child having tantrums, aggression, social withdrawal?” underneath. Below that is a beige rounded rectangle listing three bullet points: “Understand why challenging behaviors happen,” “Use positive, developmentally appropriate strategies,” and “Tools to understand & address behavior concerns.”
The next main heading, in bold green text, says “How to Advocate for Your Child’s Needs,” followed by the question “How can I strengthen my child’s support system?” In the center is an illustration of a parent or caregiver with flowers above their head being watered, symbolizing growth, and around this image are six colored bubbles with text. On the left, a yellow bubble says “Advocate effectively for your child’s needs,” and a light green bubble below it says “Request services & assessments.” Center bottom, a light green bubble reads “Prepare for & participate in meetings.” On the right, a light green bubble says “Know your parent rights & procedural safeguards,” and a lavender bubble below it says “Understand the IEP & IFSP process.”
Toward the bottom, a tan rounded rectangle contains the event date and time: “April 15, 2026, 4 PM.” Next to this block, in brown text, is the location: “GLAD Auditorium, 2222 Laverna Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90041.” Below, a line of text explains that the workshop will be presented in spoken English and ASL, and invites people to ask for other accommodations. At the very bottom, on a yellow rounded strip, there are icons and contact information: a phone symbol with “(323) 892-2225” and an email symbol with “info@gladinc.org.” The overall color scheme includes browns, greens, yellows, and pastels, with small emoji-like hand symbols next to the two main headings.
