Our outstanding team of doctors are here to listen to you. We understand how frustrating it can be searching for answers. Our patients walk away empowered with knowledge they learn and continue to thrive, making the world a better place. We are passionate about Restoring Health for a Better Future! Functional medicine is a patient-centered approach that focuses on the underlying root causes of dysfunction, not just the symptoms. It is the most contemporary form of modern healthcare. There is a shift from a disease-centered focus to a patient-centered approach. A functional medicine practitioner spends time with the patient to determine interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term complex health problems. In addition to a thorough history and physical exam, many times lab tests are utilized as a gateway to help determine any deviant physiology within the individual. It is important in Functional Medicine to recognize that even patients that share a common "label" of disease often have different causes of dysfunction and therefore need to be treated as individuals not confined to treatments set as standards by the disease name. Our Commitment to You...

We strive to fully understand the needs and concerns of our patients and we will work closely with you to ensure your health is restored. To help ensure your health is improved, we offer extensive diagnostic testing, analysis and personalized treatment programs as well as an utmost dedication to helping you get better. We are committed to meeting your needs and providing you with the highest quality service. Your health is our passion and our number one priority!

If you’ve ever been told “everything looks normal” while you still feel awful, you’re not imagining it.

A functional medicine approach looks deeper than a single lab value. We ask: are we testing the right things, at the right time, with enough context? Because autoimmune symptoms don’t come from nowhere, they come from patterns.

And when you only measure “disease,” you can miss the early dysfunction that shows up as fatigue, brain fog, gut issues, pain, and flares.

Your symptoms deserve curiosity, not dismissal.

Holiday stress isn’t only emotional. Sometimes it’s environmental.

Extra candles, fragrance, cleaning products, hotel rooms, guests, travel, laundry, and “fresheners” can increase chemical exposure fast, and for sensitive immune systems, that can matter.

A calmer home environment can be part of a calmer immune response.

Reviews like this are exactly why we opened our practice. 💜

The philosophy that motivates everyone on our team is pretty simple: “Do whatever it takes to effectively, comfortably, and safely help the patient. Whatever that ‘whatever’ is.”

If your immune system feels extra “sensitive” during the holidays, it’s usually not random. It’s often the basics that get inconsistent.

In functional medicine, one simple way we look at immune balance is this: Does your body have the raw materials it needs to regulate inflammation well?

Because your immune system is rebuilding and responding every day, even when you’re not “sick.” And with autoimmunity, that system is already working overtime.
Here’s what tends to happen in December:
👉Protein gets lighter (or skipped)
👉 Meals get more random (travel, events, long gaps)
👉 Whole foods get replaced with “whatever’s available”
👉Stress goes up, which increases nutrient demand

So instead of reaching for “more” (more rules, more supplements, more restrictions)… try supporting the foundation.

4 nutrients we talk about a lot for calming an overactive immune response:
👉Vitamin D (commonly low, impacts immune regulation)
👉Omega-3s (anti-inflammatory fats that support immune signaling)
👉Glutathione (master antioxidant that supports detox + immune balance)
👉Curcumin (turmeric compound with strong anti-inflammatory support)

Small, steady inputs beat dramatic changes.

Hot take for the holidays: your sleep and your blood sugar are on the same team.

Here’s why it matters: blood sugar swings are stress on the body, and your stress hormone cortisol gets pulled in to help regulate those highs and lows. Cortisol also runs your sleep/wake rhythm. Translation: when one is off, the other usually is too.

Signs it might be a blood sugar + cortisol thing:

💜 Waking up at 2–4am and your brain is on
💜 Shaky, sweaty, fast heartbeat
💜 “Hangry” feelings that flip fast
💜 Tired/weak after meals

If you tend toward low blood sugar, try this simple support:
💜 A low-glycemic bedtime snack (a handful of nuts works well for many)

If you wake up and can’t fall back asleep:
💜A small, quick bite can help some people settle back down (even just a few grapes)

And the most underrated move: Go to bed and wake up at the same time daily. Consistency helps cortisol stay consistent, which helps blood sugar stay steadier.

Save this for the next week your sleep feels chaotic.

The most stressful holiday eating mistake? Trying to copy someone else’s “perfect” plan.

With autoimmune disease, personalization matters. Your body has its own triggers, tolerance, and stress threshold and the holidays can lower that threshold fast (sleep changes, travel, schedule chaos, extra input).

What if your holiday strategy is: eat, notice, adjust?

Here’s what to notice after meals:

🤍Energy (steady or crash?)
🤍Digestion (calm or reactive?)
🤍The next day (more inflammation or more stable?)

Instead of chasing rules, reduce guesswork.

Keep the foods and portions that help you feel steadier, and tweak what doesn’t. That’s not restriction, it’s information, and it’s how you build holiday meals your body actually processes well.

Save this for the next party, travel day, or “we’re eating out again” week.

For many people with autoimmune disease, inflammation affects how the brain functions. Focus, memory, and mental clarity can fade when the immune system stays overactive, especially during periods of stress, poor sleep, or hormonal imbalance.

The good news? Brain fog is often reversible. When the root causes of autoimmunity are addressed, the brain can regain clarity and resilience.

If you’re exhausted no matter how much you rest, it’s not in your head. Autoimmune fatigue starts at the cellular level.

Chronic fatigue is one of the most common autoimmune symptoms, and for many people, the issue starts in the mitochondria, the energy producers in your cells.

When mitochondria are under stress, your body can’t make enough energy to keep up. This often shows up as:

👉Constant exhaustion
👉Brain fog
👉Muscle weakness
👉Feeling “wired but tired”

Common drains on mitochondrial energy include:

👉 Blood sugar swings
👉Low movement and circulation
👉Nutrient deficiencies or poor digestion
👉Toxic load and impaired detox
👉Chronic infections or mold exposure

If autoimmune fatigue is limiting your quality of life, a functional medicine approach can help uncover what’s draining your energy. Learn more through the link in bio.

When your nervous system stays in crisis mode, your body pays the price. Stress can raise cortisol, disrupt blood sugar, and amplify inflammation, which can worsen autoimmune flares, fatigue, headaches, gut symptoms, and brain fog.

Here’s the shift we want you to make this week:

💜 Pause the constant input (news, scrolling, nonstop to-dos)

💜 Create a daily calm cue (5 minutes of breathing, prayer, or meditation)

💜Listen to the early warning signs (exhaustion, pain, constipation, sinus issues, headaches)

Your body is built to heal. The goal isn’t perfection during the holidays, it’s reducing your total stress load and supporting your system before a flare hits.

If you need a sign to drink water today, here it is. Your brain, hormones, digestion, and energy are all begging for a refill.

Most people walk around dehydrated and chalk the symptoms up to “stress” or “busy season,” when in reality their cells are running on fumes.

Hydration is one of the simplest ways to support clearer thinking, better bowel movements, stable mood, and smoother detox pathways. Your body wants to work for you, it just needs the resources to do it.

Start with one full glass right now. Future you will feel the difference within minutes.

The one habit wrecking your gut health: eating like you’re in a timed competition.

Your digestive system is not built for rushing, scrolling, stressing, and snacking all at once.

Slow down. Chew your food. Let your body catch up.
Your gut will thank you… loudly.

12/06/2025

Your energy? Steadier.
Your mood? Less chaotic.
Your digestion? Actually… digesting.

This is what happens when you give your body nutrients it recognizes. Whole, unprocessed foods support balanced blood sugar, lower inflammation, stabilize hormones, and give your gut microbiome something to actually work with.

It’s not about eating “perfect.” It’s about reducing the noise in your body so you can actually hear what it needs.

If you’re tired of feeling bloated, tired, moody, or foggy every day then start with the basics. Your cells are listening.
