Hot take: your yoga pants are likely messing with your hormones & fertility 👀
Most modern underwear, leggings and athleisure are literally plastic (polyester, spandex, nylon), exposing the body to BPA, PFAS and microplastics that absorb through the skin, disrupt hormones and impair fertility in both women and men - linked to lower s***m counts, ovulation issues, higher miscarriage risk and overall hormonal dysfunction.
Microplastics from clothing are now found in blood, placentas, ovaries, testicles and even the brain. They can damage eggs, s***m and early embryos, and can carry toxins straight into reproductive tissue.
One study showed that men wearing polyester underwear became temporarily sterile - s***m counts dropped to zero. Once they stopped wearing it, fertility returned. The fabric itself acted like birth control.
Good news? This is one of the easiest toxin exposures to reduce.
