Aftercare: What to Do After a Massage?

After your massage, take a few moments to slowly open your eyes and take deep breaths. Drink plenty of water to rehydrate your muscles and flush fluids to the appropriate place for your body. Avoid strenuous activities for a few hours to allow your body to fully relax and absorb the benefits.

Consider journaling or meditating to reflect on your experience and prolong the relaxation response. Take your time getting up, and avoid rushing back into your daily routine.

By prioritizing aftercare, you can extend the benefits of your massage and maintain a sense of calm and well-being throughout your day.
