They’re looking for a very special person

We need our communities help so we can help our boy Tao. We did an adoption post for Tao on September 22nd, and we were over the moon thrilled when we had an adopter step forward. Even though he was the sweetest boy with his new mom, the separation anxiety he experienced when she wasn’t around wasn’t something that could be accommodated.
We’re trying again! Tao is 3 years old and gets along with cats and dogs, he does prefer female company but he has lived in homes with men as well.
When Tao has someone by his side, he relaxes. His eyes soften, his tail starts to wag and you can see the dog he wants to be - calm, loving and full of hope.
We’re urgently looking for an adopter, or foster, with a patient and understanding environment, where Tao can have stability and help regain his confidence. A household or a family member that can be present at all times is crucial while working on his separation related behavior training. A person who works from home, is retired etc. We know this is a big ask, but we are dedicated to finding him a home where he will thrive. We can share more information about the details of his separation anxiety with interested adopters and Homeward Bound does provide some post-adoption support to help dogs ease into their new homes.

In the category- it looks worse than it is:
Black fly bites!
These red marks on the dogs belly look awful but usually are just a bit itchy and will fade over a few days without an issue. Keep your dog from laying in the grass at dusk and you will see less of these!

🎊After a three-year search, the veterinarian we were looking to join our practice was found in our own backyard! Dr. Scott Sutor, who many of you may know from Middlebury Animal Hospital, will be joining the practice this week! 🎉

Here is what you need to know about our newest team member:

Dr. Sutor was born and raised in the cornfield that is southwestern Minnesota. After he graduated from Saint Olaf College, where he did not meet Betty White, he wandered east to seek his fortune. Eventually opting out of a glamorous career in graduate mathematics, he decided to pursue a life in veterinary medicine, his residence now for almost 30 years. These days he shares a house with two aging canines and a bossy, geriatric cat who mostly succeed at keeping him in line. When not acceding to their gentle demands, he likes to do vegetable gardening (with notable deficiencies when it comes to pulling weeds), make pizza, and dream of baking a perfect loaf of sourdough bread.

He is thrilled to be joining Anja, Liz, and Elijah at Full Circle Home Veterinary Care, where he aims to shed the mantle of being the cause of your dog’s or cat’s worst 20 minutes of the year (which is unbearable even in dog minutes).

The plan is for Dr. Sutor to take new clients in Middlebury, Bristol, Weybridge, Cornwall, and Brandon. Please spread the word to your family and friends who would love to have their pets taken care of in their homes! Anja will continue to see her established clients unless there is an urgent need, and then the Doctor that can get there the quickest will be who shows up.
