In all the hustle and bustle of competition weekend moments like these are the memories we cherish. Being a coach is more than the wins. To me it's being a part of someone's journey. I love being the fguncle, it's an honor I didn't understand until I became one at 14 years old. Fast forward to the birth of Dauson and that honor and responsibility magnified ten fold. From his Manny to Uncle Yaya I wouldn't change a thing. To witness the pure joys of boyhood warmed my heart so much! This is why I do what I do. I get to witness the greatness of the next generations to come.

At the end of last season James expressed that he wanted to become an elite like his fellow teammates. I told him if he trains hard and can focus on his skills he will start to progress. This weekend is our in house competition. I am so excited for this season! This summer was full of ups and downs. With that brought a lot of progress. I watched each one of my athletes overcome the day to day life of practices. Having a great day one and a horrible the next. This summer, my focus was creating memories along the way and challenging my athletes. Boy, did they surprise me more than I ever expected. Can't wait to see them this weekend at our Pumpkin meet. Here's to 2025-2026 competition season levels 5-8!
