Cindy Brom, MBA, Director of Business Development, and Matthew Aldana, LCSW, Outpatient Manager and Therapist, had a great time attending the 2026 Crown Family School of Social Work Expo at the University of Chicago. The event was a meaningful opportunity to connect with first and second year students interested in internship and future employment pathways and to share how we support professional growth. We are now accepting 2nd Year Master’s Level Internship/Practicum applications. Visit our website to apply today. https://buff.ly/HX6JXMK

Body image struggles can be difficult for teens and for parents trying to help. We encourage caregivers to listen without judgment, avoid appearance-focused language, and emphasize emotional well-being over weight or shape. Small shifts in communication can help teens feel safer, more confident, and supported. Explore more family resources at https://buff.ly/CJddC0s

Early experiences with food and body image shape long-term well-being. In our newest blog, we explore how New Year’s diet culture can be harmful to kids and what families can focus on instead to support body trust, flexibility, and emotional safety. Letting go of diet culture allows kids to feel supported, steady, and enough as they are. Read the full blog and download our free body image and healthy eating resource at https://buff.ly/tXFssNM

We were grateful to have the opportunity to connect with the student services staff of Stevenson
High School and D125 on December 11th at their Resource Fair. Our staff shared information
about our programs, services, and referral processes with school social workers, psychologists,
and counselors who support students every day. Building these relationships helps us work
together to ensure students and families receive timely and compassionate care.
