Happy Holidays from all of us at Simply Bee! We are grateful for the warmth, connection, and community that surround our clients, our team, and the families we serve. No matter how you celebrate, we hope this season brings peace, rest, and moments of joy.
The holidays can spark comparison, perfectionism, and pressure, even when we know better. If you are feeling it this season, you are not alone.
By slowing down, reconnecting with your values, and letting go of unrealistic expectations, you can create a holiday experience that feels supportive and true to you.

We were grateful to have the opportunity to connect with the student services staff of Stevenson
High School and D125 on December 11th at their Resource Fair. Our staff shared information
about our programs, services, and referral processes with school social workers, psychologists,
and counselors who support students every day. Building these relationships helps us work
together to ensure students and families receive timely and compassionate care.

We kicked off the holiday season with our annual Staffgiving celebration. Our team came together with homemade dishes ranging from savory favorites to delicious desserts, creating a warm and joyful moment to appreciate one another. We are grateful for a team that supports our clients and each other with heart and dedication.
We are hosting our first Food Drive in support of the Hawthorn School District 73 Food Pantry. This pantry provides essential food and household items to local families, and we are honored to contribute. Donations are welcome from staff, clients, families, and community members who visit our offices. Baskets are located in each lobby and we are accepting canned goods through December 29.

As part of our specialized adolescent program, our clients recently participated in a meaningful food exposure experience where each group researched, prepared, and shared a traditional dish from Turkey, Greece, the Netherlands, and the United Arab Emirates. After cooking together, clients presented their dishes to the larger group, explaining why they chose their country, when the dish is typically eaten, and what it represents in that culture. This hands-on experience encouraged curiosity, connection, and confidence while exploring new foods in a supportive environment. We’re proud of the creativity and courage each client brought to the table.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but finding the right therapist makes all the difference. Our newest blog and free resource walk you through the do’s and don’ts of searching for a therapist, how to identify your needs, and what questions to ask to build a trusting connection that supports real healing.
