My mission is to provide relaxation and pain relief, and introduce massage therapy as an effective coping mechanism for stress. Stress may be exercise related, postural habits, career associated, challenging life situations, injuries on the mend and sometimes you may not even know. I especially welcome working with first responders and military. I know the goal always is to come home. Sometimes coming home and letting go of the stress of being in constant danger or dealing with dangerous situations can be overwhelming. Allowing this type of stress to go unchecked can lead to poor decision making and reactions. I can help. For those of you who feel fine, treat yourself anyway. Prevention and maintenance is much better than feeling like you cannot catch up to well-being. My wish for all of you is peace and safety. If you are struggling knowing how to move, even at a regular walking pace, this video breaks it down. I recommend if you want to do this, be prepared to start using wide toe box/zero drop shoes. This won’t work well with traditional sneakers and shoes. However, if you are looking to decrease your pain and tension in your whole body, this is worth a look. Remember these things take time. Be gentle with yourself. Neither Rome or you were built in a day.

Happy new year everyone! If you’re a client you have heard me talk about the stress and tension build up that occurs from allowing naturally occurring bodily functions from happening due to social contracts. For those of you who struggle with pain due to sitting, see if you can incorporate some of these movements. It may not be possible to do perfectly when starting out, so if all you can manage is to take some breaks and walk around a bit, then that’s where you’re at today. Keep up the good work and be patient with yourself. You didn’t get here overnight so it may take some time to heal….and time heals.
