Diagnosed with a Degenerative Autoimmune Disorder affecting neurological function, Jack began early intervention with physical, occupational, and speech therapies that helped him make remarkable progress. Once nonverbal and struggling with motor challenges, he now speaks fluently, feeds himself, and actively participates in school activities like writing and playing. Despite mobility limitations and hip surgery, Jack is standing and taking steps with a gait trainer while continuing to build strength and balance—we’re incredibly proud of his journey.
Over the past year, Sunshine PTC has proudly expanded its pediatric therapy team, enabling us to serve more children across Indian River County with compassionate, high-quality care regardless of their family's ability to pay. We’ve deepened our interdisciplinary approach and implemented ABA therapy techniques—in collaboration with Piece of the Puzzle—to enhance outcomes and better support each child’s unique journey with a focus on school readiness. Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to announce our upcoming expansion in 2026 to a new satellite location in partnership with TTCH, further extending our reach and impact in the community.
We’d like to thank the Board of County Commissioners for allocating funds through
the Children’s Services Advisory Committee (CSAC) to support programs like ours. Together, we’re making a lasting impact on children and families in our community.
