"Tech neck" stresses muscles, ligaments, and the spine especially in the cervical (neck) region. It is a good idea to "reset" our cervical curve a couple times a day.
Start with cervical retraction: with your chin parallel to the ground, retract your chin backwards. This movement will straighten your cervical spine and give you a double chin.
Cervical extension: after you perform a cervical retraction, slowly and gently look up to the ceiling and extend your head back as far as you can comfortably go. Hold this position for 2-3 seconds and return to neutral position. Repeat both steps 8-10 times up to 5 times a day.
To prevent this, raise your screen to eye level instead of looking down, take breaks every 20-30 minutes, and keep your ears aligned over your shoulders. And remember, we're here to help you get adjusted!
