🀲🏽Attention Therapists🀲🏽!! Get Off My Nerves: 2 Day Neurodynamics Course Feb 19th/20th 2022. Approved for credits.

Too often, nerve treatment is thought of as gliding vs sliding or tensioning vs flossing, with the MISCONCEPTION that sliding/ flossing is SUPERIOR tensioning/gliding.

Another viewpoint often held is the mechanical paradigm that is often taught, which is limited in nature and overlooks other factors at play.
This course dives into some of those other factors that should be considered in our treatment. Those other factors are: neuro-immune, physiology, neurophysiology, and neurochemical.

This course is primarily lab to focus on acquiring the proper pyschomotor skills and application so you can implement these concepts Monday morning!

Supine CT Junction HVLA- this is a great variation to the prone CT junction HVLA.

Thits is a creak technqiue to perform for patients who have a variety of shoulder, neck and mid back pain, even headaches. The CT junction as well as junctional regions in general are often times where the big bang for the buck is in treating various type of pathologies. Often time these are under treated areas. If you feel you patinet has plateaued, give this one a shot.

Alternate Grip/ Hand position during Seated T/S ROtational HVLA or Mobilization.

There are times when the "conventional way" or hand placement doesnt not work. You may be outsized as a PT, either the patient is taller than your or just bigger than you and you may need to used differnet hand placements to improve leverage.

Here Dr. Brandon Cruz, AKA, demonstrates how you can feed your hands through the patients arms instead of reach around them.

We Like to teach and give options in the classes we teach, We DON'T teach a dogmatic or rigid way of doing things but often utilizing principles and frameworks and allowing for modifcation based on whats comfortable for you and the patient.

In Lew of our Lumbopelvic course that starts tmrw ands runs all weekend. Here is an excerpt from a previous course about the term " non SPecifc" and how we use it around patients and eudcate our patients.

There are a few points to this that the video doesnt catch.
1) Non specific Low back pain, we have to be careful how we phrase this and even use this to our patients, the Term non specific when used to educate a patient may give the apprerance that we as PT's / medical provider are not sure what the "diagnosis" is, and may create uncertainty to the patient.

2) inTerms of educating a patient after an MRI, we need to be able to educate our patients that their are alot of "pain generating" structures in the body and that and MRI, a photo at one point in time in one position, Can't always grab/grasp the correct structure that is "Casuing pain"

3) in terms of our effects with manual therapy or any intervention for that matter i ovte moving away from non specific affects, to multiple specific affects. Just bc their are a lot of mechanisms/ factors at play doesnt mean we dont know or arent aware of them, it just mean their are multiple systems at play and encompass what we do.
