Too often ignored. Midwives are known for listening.
Women face real challenges in getting the health care they deserve—from delayed diagnoses to dismissed pain and even being told their physical symptoms are “just anxiety.”
Weight stigma, racial bias, and a historic lack of research on women’s health issues only make things harder.
That’s where midwives step in.
Midwives listen. They believe women’s stories, take symptoms seriously, and work to restore trust in health care—especially for those often unheard. Whether it’s reproductive health, chronic pain, or mental health, midwives support women as they claim their own power throughout the journey.
It’s time to feel seen, heard, and respected in every exam room.
