The goal is to help you make positive changes that last a lifetime! I’ve always loved exercise and have been doing it for 20+ years.

Nutrition has also been a big interest of mine. Back in February 2020 I graduated from Lexington Healing Arts Academy and earned a personal training certification through NASM and a Lvl 1 Nutrition Coaching Certification through Precision Nutrition. I continued my education, and in September 2022 I earned my Level 2 Master Health Coaching certification. In July 2023, I passed my board exam for the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching.

Easy snack!!

In continuation of yesterday's healthy fat rant here's a delicious homemade peanut butter granola.

Ingredients:
3 cups old fashioned oats
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. chia seeds
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup natural peanut butter
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 325F. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix together oats, salt, chia seeds, and cinnamon.
Stir in peanut butter, honey, coconut oil, and vanilla.

Once fully combined, press onto lined parchment paper – spread into flat layer.
Bake for 18-22 minutes or until starting to turn golden brown.
Let COMPLETELY cool before breaking apart.

FYI...found this off https://www.erinliveswhole.com. Lots of great recipes there.

Healthy fats....

If you're looking for that healthy fat think about unprocessed fats from whole foods. If you're worried about unhealthy fats you might want to stay away from the industrially produced and nonperishable fats.

Many people are worried about excess dietary fat, I get it. But not getting enough "healthy fats" can be detrimental to your health. Healthy fats support your metabolism, immune system, and hormone production and help your body absorb many nutrients.

Here are some ideas for healthy fats: nuts, seeds (h**p, flax, and chia are especially nutritious), fish, non-processed meats and eggs, olives, avocados, and coconut.

FYI.... 1 serving of fat is about the size of your thumb. You're very welcome.

Don't let one bad day take away from the progress you have made.

It's normal to have bad days. What is not cool is if you let those bad days derail you.
