Rev. Kenneth Edward Paris, father of Kenya Paris,a retired AME minister and career educator, whose life of obedience to Christ, leadership to his parishioners, and teaching young scholars entered into eternal rest on January 30, 2026.
Rev. Paris was an ordained African Methodist Episcopal Minister as well as as an English teacher at Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School. He began his pastoral charge at Quinn Chapel AME church in Chattanooga, TN. He would go on to Pastor Bethel AME Knoxville, TN, St. John AME Nashville, TN; St. Peter AME Clarksville, TN; St. John AME Frankfort, KY; Quinn Chapel AME, Lexington, KY ; St. Paul AME Lexington, Ky; St. Paul AME Louisville, KY; Emory Chapel AME, Elizabethtown, KY and before retirement, Shorter Chapel AME, Paris KY. He served as Presiding Elder Lexington District for a period of time before returning to pastoring a church.
A Celebration of Life for Rev. Paris will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Quinn Chapel AME Church. Visitation is from 10:00 am to 12.00 pm and the service will follow. Morgan Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
