At Revitalize, we know that healthy meals don’t have to be complicated or expensive. That’s why we’re excited to share four easy, shelf-stable recipes you can make with ingredients from a food pantry or grocery store.

🍲 Shepherd’s Pie
🍝 Minestrone Soup
🥫 White Chicken Chili
🍛 Beef Chili

All meals can feed 4 people and are less than $9 each!

Shepherd’s Pie: ~$6.87
Minestrone Soup: ~$4.57
White Chicken Chili: ~$4.77
Beef Chili: ~$8.44

Each of these meals is budget-friendly, filling, and made with ingredients that are shelf stable!

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we also used these recipes to put together over 150 meal bags for our community.

You can find them at blessing boxes across town. If you have a specific need, please reach out to us! We are happy to help anyone in our community to make sure nobody is hungry!

🌟 Let’s Feed Woodford County Together! 🌟
Many of our neighbors are struggling to put food on the table, and local resources are stretched thin. Revitalize Counseling is working to bridge the gap by coordinating a community effort to provide 150 meal bags this November.
Each $10 bag feeds a family of four — like this White Bean Chicken Chili meal:
🥫 Chicken • White beans • Corn • Green chilies • Cumin or chili powder
Bags will go to:
🍲 Local blessing boxes
🏫 Families through WCPS Family Resource Centers
🤝 Individuals and organizations identifying local needs
We’ve already raised $800 of our $1,500 goal! ❤️

Revitalize Counseling Services LLC is taking donations for community meal bags. Each bag costs around 10 dollars to create and will be distributed to those in need.

Bones, Brews, and Balance? Mindy Mandible's tip of the day: Supporting small businesses boosts serotonin. Mindy took her mindfulness on the move this week--grabbing coffee, stretching her bones at yoga, visiting a local friend, and daydreaming about a glow up at the skin boutique downtown! Mindy suggests taking a mindful walk. Practice noticing details on a walk such as sights, smells, sounds, and textures. Mindfulness in motion is a great way to regulate the nervous system.

Mindy stopped by the high school, where our therapists provide on-site counseling, because mental health is pretty chill-to the bone.

Mindy wants to remind students that when they are overwhelmed:

STOP: Stop, Take a break, Observe, and Proceed mindfully before reacting under stress.

Mindy Mandible stopped by Versailles Family Medicine today, because mental and physical health go hand in hand (or in her case, bone in bone). 🦴💚

Today Mindy recommends a Body Scan Meditation. Start at the top and work your way down, noticing the physical sensations from head to toe. The mind-body connection is the key to true wellness.
