Think you might have the flu? Here’s what to do to take care of yourself and protect others:

- Stay home and rest. Avoid work, school or public places. Rest helps your body fight the infection and prevents it from spreading to others.

- Monitor your symptoms. Keep track of severity, duration and any changes in symptoms like fever, chills, cough, sore throat, body aches, fatigue, headache, runny or stuffy nose.

- Hydrate and manage symptoms. Drink plenty of water or herbal tea. Over-the-counter medications can help with symptoms. Avoid alcohol and smoking.

- Seek medical care if needed. Call your healthcare provider if you experience trouble breathing, chest pain, severe weakness, confusion, persistent high fever or worsening symptoms, especially if you are pregnant, older or have chronic conditions. Early treatment can help reduce complications.

- Protect your community. Cover coughs and sneezes, wash your hands frequently and stay home until you’ve been fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication.

We hosted the second session of our Hospital Happenings series with the Woodford County Senior Center today. Our Healthy Hearts theme for Heart Month taught our local seniors about prevention, early detection and treatment for cardiac emergencies.

Thank you to our hospital staff and our cardiology provider, Sarah Bond, for spending time educating our senior citizens!

🎓❤️ We Had a Heart-Healthy Day at St. Leo’s! ❤️

The team from Centerpoint Health – Versailles had an amazing time at the St. Leo’s School Career Fair! It was great connecting with students while sharing something truly lifesaving — Hands-Only CPR. 👏🫀
We demonstrated Hands-Only CPR and offered helpful education on heart health, empowering young people to act confidently in emergencies.

💡 Did you know? According to the American Heart Association, immediate CPR can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival after cardiac arrest — yet many cardiac emergencies happen outside of hospitals.

Today some of our leaders, including our new CEO, Bruce Tassin, attended the Woodford County Chamber Of Commerce Annual Awards.

We were proud to sponsor and present the Small Business of the Year to The Woodford Sun for their continued commitment to our community. Long before “real-time news” was a buzz word, the Woodford Sun was already there — at ballgames, ribbon cuttings, school events, new businesses celebrations and stories that mattered most to Woodford Countians.
