Have you ever wondered why your massage therapist ALWAYS tells you to drink water?

I get asked often if staying hydrated is actually important after a massage. Yes, yes it is!

Your muscles hold toxins like lactic acid, uric acid, and carbon dioxide. When you get a massage it pushes these toxins out of the muscles and into the lymphatic system. Drinking water and staying hydrated supports the lymphatic system and kidneys to clear out these toxins. Staying hydrated also rehydrates tissues in the body, reduces muscle soreness, and can reduce fatigue after a massage. From my own personal experience it is possible to not feel very well if you don’t stay hydrated after a massage.

So drink your water and stay hydrated as much as possible. Especially after receiving a massage!!💧🙂
