After experiencing a stroke, Sunny came to our community with one clear goal in mind: to get stronger 💪. From day one, he approached recovery with determination and a positive attitude 😊.

During his stay, therapy played a key role — especially walking and strengthening exercises 🚶‍♀️🏋️. Each day began with getting up, eating breakfast 🍳, and participating in therapy one to two times daily, building endurance and confidence step by step 📈.

When asked about the staff who made an impact, the answer was simple and meaningful: everyone 🤗. From therapy to nursing and support staff, each team member contributed to his recovery journey 🧑‍⚕️.

Through hard work and consistency, progress followed — and there came a moment when he knew he was ready to return home 🏡. Now, as discharge day arrives, he describes feeling “very happy” and excited to return to work 🥳.

We are so proud to have been part of this recovery and wish him continued strength, health, and success at home 💙.

Proud moments like this remind us why we do what we do. 💙✨ Another success story, another life touched.

Mr. Holderness came to us from St. Elizabeth Hospital needing some rehabilitation. He stated, "I came to Swiss Villa feeling very weak. I needed to get stronger in my legs; I was not walking well at all. The therapy helped me out tremendously. The whole staff was amazing, the nurses are top-notch, and everyone deserves a raise!"

We asked him what his day-to-day looked like, and he said, "I was so busy with therapy; the time went by pretty fast. I also started eating more; the food was very good!"

We asked him about going home. He said, "I can walk so much further than I could when I came. I am stronger, excited to go home, and ready to be home with my wife of 43 years and to be with my dog." 🏡🐶

His advice to our future patients is, "Listen to your therapists; they will put you on the right path. The staff here will be good to you, don't worry. Bring joy to them each day, like I tried!" 😊

Mr. Holderness, thank you for letting us care for you. We wish you nothing but the best! 🌟
