Red light therapy helps you recover faster from strenuous workouts and acute injuries. You’re missing out if you’re not adding this in with your massage session or mobility training. It’s one of the ways that I can stay active and maintain a full schedule, injury, free pain-free, and consistently doing work without breaks. This is my secret. It’s what I do when I can’t get to see a massage therapist I’m doing self-care regularly, including red light therapy treatments, rolling, and stretching. I’ve been a massage therapist for 20 years and don’t plan to slow down anytime soon. I currently maintain a schedule for sports and orthopedic Massage, which can be highly demanding on the therapist. My secret: take care of your body with regular care and maintenance like rolling, stretching, red light, nutrition, and recovery.

Wellness Wednesday nutrition and recovery- I went from to and now for a full day of massage to my clients. I am sure I will stay energized all day with my nutrition stack of a protein smoothie, protein bites, fresh juices and ginger/lemon shot, and elderberry/ cayenne pepper shot.

Wellness Wednesday- What is your sleep hygiene? How well do you feel in the morning? Are you waking up refreshed rested and ready to start the day? If you’re constantly tired, battling fatigue sleep may be a problem, falling asleep or staying asleep. Your sleep hygiene is your schedule or routine that you do before bed to prepare your body and your mind for rest. I know it may be difficult at times, but having a consistent sleep schedule or normalcy in your bedtime and bedtime ritual may offer improved sleep patterns. My challenge to you is to change one thing before bed. Maybe it’s sipping a warm tea or reading. Allow yourself space to settle in to the timeframe of putting yourself to bed. There are so many options from light stretching, yoga, breathing exercises to reading. This is your time to set your intention for the next eight hours of sleep. Try this for a week and see if you notice any significant change and how you feel when you wake up.

Wellness Wednesday- Wednesday Wellness hey everyone I’ve started wellness coaching and every Wednesday I am including some tips to help you out in an area of wellness. This week it is all about rest and recovery.
What are you current doing to assist in your body’s recovery from stress?
Did you know that rolling your muscles out following exercise can diminish the effects of delayed onset of muscle soreness. That means you’re not gonna feel as sore following vigorous activity. I currently sell rad roller at my office, but I also offer a link in my bio where you can get five dollars off your purchase of rad roller. I love this company because the products are high-quality and they took a lot of time into developing each tool for ease of use and effectiveness in the muscle groups. Each tool has a purpose, and they are made to be used with ease. I love that this company also provides videos and education unrolling as well.
