We are entering the last major indoor phase of our construction project! For most of the next 2 weeks our waiting room will be unavailable while they construct our beautiful cupola, replace our front door, add a covered entrance and install new flooring throughout our original space. We will still remain opened and seeing patients the entire time. There will be many times we will need to go back to curbside appointments like we did during the pandemic. We apologize for any inconvenience but this is for the safety of our patients, clients, staff and the construction crew. We promise the end result will be worth it. Thank you for being flexible and working with us as we navigate this together. We appreciate all of you so very much and your loyalty to our hospital.

Great event for families.

The Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) will welcome community members of all ages to its annual CVM Open House on Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for a behind‑the‑scenes look at one of the nation’s premier veterinary institutions.

The family-friendly event will showcase the breadth of veterinary medicine through hands‑on activities, live demonstrations, guided tours and interactive exhibits. Visitors can explore Cornell’s veterinary facilities, meet faculty, staff and veterinary students, and learn how veterinarians care for animals ranging from household pets to wildlife and farm animals.

Don't wait till summer to start your pets on preventatives. We have removed several ticks from our patients the last few weeks.

We now have our gutters on, a gorgeous wagon wheel fandalier, some beautiful glass pocket and sliding barn doors and cabinets and sinks are in. Things are going to be moving quickly in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for more sneak peeks. 😊

Welcome to the Storybook Farm family Marco. Marco had his first visit with Dr. Vallone today. He is a 17 week old mini Goldendoodle. He has the most beautiful auburn color coat.

Welcome to our Farm family Rory! Dr. Lill gave Rory his first puppy exam at our office this afternoon. Rory is a 9-week-old Australian Shepherd. What a handsome guy he is!

Sweet Mimi is going to be a guide dog. We have so enjoyed watching her grow and playing a small part in making her feel comfortable and confident in many situations. Our technician Kiley and her owner worked with her during her monthly nails trims on how to stand quietly for exams and treatment. Her raiser shared the good news with a photo and some snacks for our staff. Way to go Mimi you are such a wonderful dog and you will make your future owner very happy.

With a little more snow in the forecast going into the weekend and temps in the single digits and teens this chart is a good reminder of how the cold effects dogs- especially their feet, and when we should skip walks and find indoor activities for them.

Update on Monday hours due to storm-

We will have a delayed opening on Monday January 26th due to inclement weather. At this time we plan on having doctors and staff in at 10 am and will do scheduled surgeries and appointments. We will be reevaluating this early tomorrow am-so it’s a good idea to call the office before you head out. 585-924-7740. If you need to cancel your appointments we understand and will get you rescheduled. Stay safe and warm.
