Our chicks began hatching yesterday morning! 🐣
So far we have 22 healthy, happy little baby chickens with another 17 yet to hatch. They are so stinking cute and fluffy and we are overjoyed to be able to watch them come into the world. 💗 We will be keeping some of the chicks to add into our flock and be united with their parents as well as offering some chicks for other homesteaders/farms/backyard chicken lovers to raise as well! We are expecting that by this Wednesday these sweet peepers will be ready to meet their new family's. We will keep yall posted! In the meantime, enjoy some cuteness overload from the chicks that have hatched. 🥰

DM us if you're interested in these babes!

Meet Cup of Cozy! 🥰

A super delicious and comforting blend of herbs to support the respiratory system, circulatory system, and immune system. This tea contains ginger, cinnamon, licorice root, apples, marshmallow leaf, & mullein and is delightfully reminiscent of a chai tea. 🍵

It’s the perfect companion through the colder months into Spring, when we might need some extra immune support from the fluctuating weather conditions, and support clearing our lungs of the dampness that the wet season brings. This blend is also very grounding and can help us move through the seasonal changes with more ease and lightness. 🪷

We love to enjoy Cup of Cozy with a splash of canned coconut milk to fully embody the chai vibes, especially curled up with a good book next to the fire. ❤️‍🔥

We offer Cup of Cozy as a loose leaf tea in a jar 16 servings for $25 & as a pre-bagged tea 10 servings for $20. Local delivery & pickup available!

Check out our other wonderful tea blends & handcrafted herbal products on our website!

*Because this blend contains licorice root, we strongly advise those that are taking prescription medications to do research on potential intercations before consuming.*

Rainbow eggs galore! 🪺 Our hens are just loving the longer days & being able to be out & foraging again now that the ground has thawed & life is coming back to the landscape. 🌱
We've been getting almost two dozen eggs daily between our chickens & ducks & we are delighted to be able to expand our egg offerings to a few more folks on a weekly & bi-weekly basis! 🍳

We also offer unwashed fertilized hatching eggs for $6/dozen. Local pick-up & delivery available. DM us if you're interested in our farm fresh eggs! 🩵

Fire Cider with help reignite your internal flame!

Fire Cider is a folk remedy that does not disappoint! ❤️‍🔥 We start every batch with homemade apple cider vinegar, then we add a whole plethora of herbs and spices to help armor your immune system from any invaders. This blend contains: garlic, onions, ginger, turmeric, 7 varieties of hot peppers, 🌶 black pepper, tulsi, oregano, parsley, thyme, rosemary, lemon, rosehips, ashwaghanda, horseradish, and we finish it off with local honey. 🍯 Needless to say, it is packed with vitamins and minerals, and has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant, and antiviral properties, as well as being supportive to the digestive system, and a mover of both the lymph and circulatory system! We enjoy 1 tsp - 1 Tbsp daily mixed in water or juice. Or if you're feeling real creative, you can add the Fire Cider into a salad dressing, marinade, or even use it in place of hot sauce...the possibilities are truly endless. We are offering single 4oz bottles for $10!

Get in touch with us if you're interested, your immune system will thank you! ALSO - all of our makings on our website are back in stock - check us out at turtleislandhomestead.com

We are so grateful for the plant medicines, the lessons they teach us, the wisdom they carry, and the healing that comes with every sip. 🌼 Today we are long steeping a pot of tea on our wood stove to enjoy for many days to come. This slow steeping method pulls every amazing bit of minerals and vitamins from the herbs, so this tends to be how we brew our tea every few days. ❤️ The blend we crafted this morning is stinging nettle, calendula, rose, cardamom, coriander, black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, star anise, cloves, marshmallow, & chaga mushrooms. Yay! Thank you to our wonderful friend Patrick J. Muldoon for sharing the chaga abundance with us. 🙏
