⭐🍂 Big thanks to our volunteers from Southwest Christian High School! 🍁⭐
On Friday, October 24th, we welcomed two amazing groups of students who spent their day serving at four of our residential homes — Oakwood, Victoria, Kings Lane, and James Court.
From raking leaves and picking up sticks to pulling weeds and tidying up yards, these students brought incredible energy, teamwork, and care to each home. Their hard work helped create beautiful, welcoming outdoor spaces for the people we support. 💙
Thank you, Southwest Christian High School, for giving your time and hearts to MORA! We’re so grateful for your partnership and the joy you bring to our community. 🙌

🎃🕸️ Boo Crew United! Our First All-Home Halloween Bash!
For the first time ever, all three Youth Crisis Stabilization Homes came together under one roof. Our Andover home hosted a Halloween Party for kids and staff—and it was such a special night. 👻 There were games, crafts, awesome costumes, and delicious pizza generously donated by one of our parents. 🍕 It was such a wonderful opportunity for our kids (and staff!) to connect, laugh, and celebrate together. Moments like these remind us how special our community really is.
💛 Now, we’re channeling that same spirit of connection into something even bigger.
🚨 Give to the Max starts now!
Last year, more than 1,000 Minnesota kids were kept in ERs for months—because there was nowhere else for them to go. This November 1–20, you can help change that.
Join us in raising funds to open two new Youth Crisis Stabilization Homes by 2026, so more kids can have a safe, supportive place to heal.

🧡 Matthew’s Story: A Cry for Help — and a Call to Action 🧡
Imagine fighting every day to keep your child safe—not from the world outside, but from the trauma that haunts them. Thousands of children across our state are in crisis—kids with complex trauma, mental health challenges, and nowhere safe to turn. The heartbreaking truth? There are only a handful of beds in the entire state that offer the kind of 1:1 care these children desperately need.

But we can change that.

Mount Olivet Rolling Acres (MORA) is working to open TWO new Youth Crisis Stabilization Homes in 2026—safe, healing environments where kids ages 5–17 can stabilize, get care, and start to hope again.

📺 Tune in to KSTP Tonight at 9PM & 10PM! (⬇️ link in comments)

MORA Executive Director Danielle Fox will be featured on KSTP Channel 5 News this evening to share her perspective on a major development impacting Adult Day Services (ADS) programs across Minnesota.

This afternoon, Governor Tim Walz announced a sweeping response to Medicaid fraud concerns within several state-funded programs, including Adult Day Services. The state will now conduct third-party billing audits and pause Medicaid reimbursements for up to 90 days while investigations are underway.

Danielle Fox will discuss what this means for MORA and other service providers that support individuals with disabilities and older adults.

This is an important conversation about accountability, transparency, and protecting critical services that thousands of Minnesotans rely on every day.
