TESTING THE ADDITIVE POWER OF COMBINATION THERAPY FOR PTSD. Does adding a stellate ganglion block to a leading, evidence-based talk-therapy for PTSD increase recovery rates? It did in a pilot study by our group.

Now the STRONG STAR Consortium at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is conducting a large-scale clinical trial with active duty and retired military to further evaluate this promising combination therapy.

Yes please! They will be on their own one day, and they need to know how to survive and thrive in the world.

It’s our job as parents to provide as many opportunities for growth and learning as we possibly can. Expose them to a variety of interests and experiences. Allow them to have chores and situations where they have to use reasoning and critical thinking skills. Allow them opportunities for independence and independent thinking. I promise you will have a well-rounded, intelligent, and successful adult.
