Citizens Medical Center is proud to announce the addition of Mako SmartRobotics™ to our orthopedic service line, becoming the first hospital in the Victoria region to offer this technology for Total Knee, Partial Knee, and Total Hip replacements.

Our commitment to giving patients access and choices in robotic surgery continues to grow. Mako SmartRobotics™ joins the robotic orthopedic surgery equipment that has been successfully utilized by our Orthopedic Surgeons since November 2023, further expanding the innovative care available right here at home.

On February 9th, Dr. Ryan Williams performed our hospital’s first Mako-assisted total knee replacement, an exciting milestone for our team and our community! 🎉

We are proud to bring this highly advanced technology to the region. Offering Mako SmartRobotics™ reinforces Citizens Medical Center’s commitment to providing leading-edge care close to home. Our goal is to help patients return to the activities they love with greater confidence and comfort.

Here’s to innovation, excellence, and moving forward together. 🏥✨

Considering joint replacement? Ask your orthopedic surgeon about robotic-assisted options available at Citizens Medical Center.

Big shoutout to Texas A&M University–Victoria! ❤️🐆

Spotted on campus with Jax the Jaguar and some awesome students spreading an important Heart Health Month reminder: sleep helps your heart health. 🙌 According to the American Heart Association, a study in the Journal of the American Heart Association found that adults who stay up late and are active at night were more likely to have poorer cardiovascular health scores than people with more typical sleep-wake timing. 😴❤️

Their signs say it best: “Recharge Your Heart” and “Sleep Well, Live Well.” 🐆✨
