This past week we attended the Association of Substance Abuse Programs General Membership Meeting, hosted at Lifetime Recovery in San Antonio. The meeting brought providers and partners together for a full day of discussion and connection across the prevention, treatment, and recovery continuum.

Speakers and panelists helped connect members to themes of sustainability and innovation shaping the future of the field.

We are grateful to share that, through the generosity of a foundation partner and God’s continued provision, Perpetual Help Home has purchased property that will allow our program to grow in the future.

For over 3 decades, PHH has served women and women with children through a faith-based, results-driven program focused on real life transformation. This new property will allow us to build new homes, creating a safer and more secure environment for the women and families we serve while expanding our capacity to help more residents rebuild their lives.

While this milestone was made possible through foundation support, your financial support will be essential to help bring this vision to life.

At Commissioners Court this week, I spoke about my experience handling mental health commitments as County Judge. One reality I’ve seen too often, firsthand: substance abuse is often a *barrier* to treatment, when families desperately need a bridge.

Grateful to work with the Billy T. Cattan Recovery Outreach Center to help bridge the gap. By expanding access to support and recovery resources, we strengthen families-- and our entire community.
