⭐️Scholarship Recipient Spotlight⭐️

Allyssa Hagan, RN, BSN, CSRN
Over the past eleven years as a Registered Nurse, I have had the privilege of serving in a variety of fulfilling roles, including Director of Nursing, Administration, and an Aesthetic Nurse. I most recently served as the Director of Clinical Operations, a position that allowed my administrative and leadership skills to thrive. My overarching goal has always been to promote the success of the organization while ensuring that both patients and staff feel valued, supported, and cared for. I take pride in being accessible and approachable, often sharing my personal contact information to ensure that no patient or team member ever feels alone. I am deeply committed to excellence in all that I do, continually striving to grow into advanced managerial and supervisory roles.

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated dedication to patient care, quality improvement, and the development of safety and infection control initiatives. I have also played a key role in creating and implementing hospital policies related to patient safety, satisfaction, compliance, and the credentialing of physicians within new healthcare facilities.

Congrats Allyssa!

⭐️ New requirements from the
Board of Nursing regarding CMEs ⭐️

Beginning September 1, 2026, all nurses will be required to upload their completed CEs into a digital tracking platform prior to license renewal. A license will not be eligible for renewal until all CE requirements have been met. The Texas Board of Nursing is in the process of selecting a tracking platform vendor and will send out updates and instructions as they become available.

Please note that CNE hourly requirements have not changed.

How to Prepare:
• Start collecting copies of all CEs now so you are ready to upload once a platform opens!
• Take CE courses from reputable providers who are on the Board-recognized CE provider list.
• Check that you meet all CE requirements, including targeted CE (See Board Rule 216 for more information).
• Stay alert for further guidance from the Texas Board of Nursing on when and how to transition your CE records to the new platform. More information will be published over the upcoming months. Please sign up for our Bulletin to stay informed:(https://www.bon.texas.gov/about_newsletters.asp.html).
