This Black History Month we honor Dr. Ivy O. Roach Brooks who was a trailblazer in radiology. She served in the U.S. Army during World War II before becoming one of the first Black women radiologists in the United States. She later served Veterans for decades, including as Director of Radiology at the Tuskegee VA Hospital. Her legacy helped expand access to diagnostic imaging and continues to inspire the future of radiology.
