Highlights of last week, we had sweet babies, we had donations of baby clothes from Dana Hernandez at Rock n our Disabilities, and baby blanket donations from Rose from Living Hope church in Hesperia. Also some food donations from high desert second chance delivered by Olivia. Thank you God for all these blessings.

Learning something new or navigating an unfamiliar situation can feel overwhelming. How should we begin? If you take a few minutes and read Colossians 1 verses 15-28 you will see that before we were believers, we were alienated from God, strangers to his way of thinking and enemies in our minds. Sin twisted our way of thinking and believing. However, if we continue in our faith, established and firm, and never let go of the confidence and hope we have in Jesus - or the gospel, we will no longer feel lost, wandering in the dark. Jesus came to us, and became like us, so we can become like him - this is our Hope. Our source of hope is Jesus.

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. 1 Peter 3:15

🎁 Rose of Sharon Life Center Christmas Toy Drive 🎄

This Christmas season, we’re gathering new, unwrapped toys to share God’s love and joy with children and families in need. Each gift is a reminder of the greatest gift ever given—Jesus Christ, our Savior and Hope. 💖

Let’s come together as a community of faith to bring smiles, warmth, and the love of Christ to little hearts this Christmas. We appreciate all who donate. Thank you!

🎉👶 That’s a wrap! 🎉

We just finished our last Parenting Connection class of the year, and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude! 💕

A big THANK YOU to all the amazing parents - whose desire is to learn and be better parents for their babies, all the instructors, volunteers, and student nurses who made this year such a success 🙌💫 — your dedication, love, and laughter made every class special! 🌺 We appreciate you all! 🩷

We’ll be taking a little break from parenting connection classes🕊️ but will be starting back up in January 2026 — so stay tuned! 📅✨

New USDA hours: 10 am to 1 pm

This Thursday, October 30th, is High Desert Second Chance's USDA food distribution.

Happening from 10 am until 1 pm, or until supplies run out, at 16666 Smoke Tree St in Hesperia CA.

Drive thru only

Cars line up at our entrance gate on Chestnut off of C Ave.

Please note: our USDA supplier didn't have any boxes/bags for this month's distribution, so all items will be hand-loaded into your vehicle individually.

We have approximately 11 items to load. Items will be grouped into 2 sections, and you'll be required to follow the traffic coordinator's instructions as you move along the line to each section.

The items we receive from our supplier may be different than what's on their website. For tomorrow, we have:

Fresh plums
Fresh produce boxes
Canned white chicken meat
Canned pinto beans
Dried cherries
Juice
Canned pears
Canned apricot halves
Canned pumpkin
Canned kidney beans
Canned spaghetti sauce
Canned mixed vegetables

Again, available until supplies run out.

It's our intent to move everyone through quickly while keeping a steady flow.

When we honor others, their happiness will be our joy. 🩷

🙏 Father, your word tells me never to seek my own honor but to consider others more important. Give me the grace to forget myself and rejoice in the strengths and talents of those around me. Thank You for the blessing of every person in my life. Help me find opportunities to lift them up. As I recall from moment to moment that I'm nothing without Christ, it's very easy to welcome the chance to put others first, to your glory. ✨✝

✝ Paul gave the Corinthians these directions as they awaited the next visit. 1. Be on guard. They were to be constantly watchful, alert for spiritual enemies that might slip in and threaten to destroy them, whether divisions, pride, sin, disorder or erroneous theology. 2. Stand firm in the faith - that is, in the Good News that they had been taught from the beginning, the gospel that brought them salvation. 3. Be courageous, so that they could stand against false teachers, deal with sin in the congregation, and straighten out other problems. 4. Be strong, with the strength given by the Holy Spirit. 5. Do everything in Love, because without love, they would be no more than prideful noisemakers. Today, as we wait for the return of Christ Jesus, we should follow these same instructions. 🙏🩷
