WE ARE OPEN AND FULLY STAFFED THROUGH EVERY NIGHT IN ADDITION TO DAYS ON WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS! Our veterinarians, Drs. September is National Pain Awareness Month!! While this is often recognized in human medicine, it’s just as important to recognize pain in our pets. Animals can be experts at hiding discomfort, so it’s critical to watch for subtle signs like limping, decreased appetite, excessive licking, hiding, vocalizing, changes in behavior and mobility. Pain in pets can result from a variety of conditions, including arthritis, dental disease, ear infections to more critical conditions like pancreatitis, bladder stones, injuries, post-operative complications, cancer, and more. Routine veterinary visits play a vital role in early detection and management of these conditions including physical exams, blood work, and diagnostic imaging. These preventative measures can catch underlying issues before they become painful emergencies and help your pet live a longer, healthier, and more comfortable life.
Let’s raise awareness and ensure our furry companions live as pain free as possible. 🐾🩹
