I wanted to update everyone on what is happening with our sweet DR CHRISTY POWELL so those interested can understand what she is facing.
As many of you already know, Christy has been battling breast cancer and has continued to work and care for her patients through treatment and pain. Due to the complexity of her case, she will be in Atlanta for the next few weeks or longer which will take her away from her office and steady income.
We wholeheartedly believe in the power of God over any chemo, doctor, etc., to heal her. We ask that everyone covers her in prayers for healing, her pain to decrease, and for her family during these challenging times. This past week has been very emotional due to cancer progressing so quickly.
While battling all of this she and Kaland have been working full time. The peace and comfort of God have helped their family overcome most obstacles this cancer has thrown at them, but it has also put some significant financial stress on them. Christy values prayer the most right now, but if anyone feels led to contribute in other ways, her family could not be more appreciative.
From the bottom of their hearts, they want to thank every person for helping Christy and her family through such a heartbreaking time. Their church, extended family, friends, and everyone in between have been excellent with encouraging words, fundraisers and endless love.
We ALL love her more than words can express. Most of us have been through something, whether it be sickness, the loss of a friend or family member, significant surgeries, and let’s not forget her chiropractic healing hands…. Christy has always devoted her life to us, especially during those overwhelmingly hard times, and we want to ensure that she is taken care of in every way. She deserves nothing less. Those that know her, know how God-fearing, compassionate, loving, and selfless she is. We hate to see her in so much pain and in a place like this. We want to provide her with all she has given us over the years. There is so much we could say about our Christy, but those that know her already know how SPECIAL she truly is. She WOULD NEVER ask for financial help for herself so we are reaching out on her behalf.
Please continue to pray for HER, Kaland, Chrislyn, Kristian, Kendyl, and all of her family. She genuinely needs every prayer she can get right now. We are praying BIG for a miracle of complete healing over Christy so that no one can doubt the healing power that genuinely comes from God alone.
