Heart-healthy foods include:

Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers thanks to routine screening and vaccination. During Cervical Health Awareness Month, we’re highlighting the importance of taking proactive steps to protect cervical health.

Key tools for prevention include:
• Pap smears to detect abnormal cervical cells early
• HPV testing to identify high-risk strains linked to cervical cancer
• HPV vaccination to help prevent infection before it starts

Regular screenings can detect changes long before symptoms appear, making early care and treatment possible. If you’re unsure when you’re due for a Pap smear or have questions about HPV testing or vaccination, Dr. Gupta can help guide you with personalized care and recommendations.

Your health matters, early prevention can make a lasting difference. 💙

🌸 Folic acid plays a critical role in early pregnancy by helping prevent serious birth defects of the brain and spine.

Taking the recommended amount before and during pregnancy is one of the most important steps toward a healthy start. 🤍

🤰 In addition to folic acid, prenatal care helps monitor maternal health, support fetal development, and address concerns early.

The number on the scale doesn’t tell the full story of your health. Two people can weigh the same but have very different body compositions and very different health risks.

A Body Composition Analysis (BCA) goes beyond weight by measuring muscle mass, body fat, and hydration levels. This deeper insight helps identify whether changes in weight are coming from fat loss, muscle gain, or fluid shifts.

Understanding this difference is important because:
➤ Muscle supports metabolism, strength, and daily function
➤ Excess body fat can increase the risk of chronic conditions
➤ Proper hydration impacts energy, circulation, and recovery

By focusing on body composition instead of the scale alone, you can make more informed decisions about nutrition, activity, and long-term health goals.

👂 Ringing in your ears isn’t something to ignore.

Tinnitus can sound like ringing, buzzing, humming, or whooshing—and while it’s common, it often signals an underlying hearing or nerve-related issue.

Noise exposure, age-related hearing loss, stress, earwax buildup, and certain medications are all common contributors.

The good news? Evaluation and treatment options can help reduce symptoms and improve quality of life.

At FamilyFirst Primary Care, we help patients understand when tinnitus should be checked and what steps come next.

As colder months roll in, supporting your immune system becomes more important than ever. Getting the right vitamins can help your body stay strong and better prepared to fight off seasonal colds.

Here are some key vitamins to focus on this winter:
🟠 Vitamin C – Supports immune function and helps reduce the severity of colds
☀️ Vitamin D – Essential during winter months when sunlight is limited
🟡 Zinc – Helps the immune system respond more effectively to viruses
🥬 Vitamin A & E – Support overall immune health and cell protection

While vitamins can support immunity, they work best alongside healthy habits like balanced nutrition, good sleep, hydration, and regular movement.

If you’re unsure which supplements are right for you, Dr. Gupta can help guide you based on your individual health needs. 💙

Colds and the flu may seem similar, but they’re caused by different viruses and can affect your body in very different ways.

🤧 Common Cold:
• Gradual onset
• Mild symptoms
• Runny or stuffy nose
• Sneezing and sore throat
• Usually no fever or mild fever

🤒 Flu (Influenza):
• Sudden onset
• High fever and chills
• Body aches and fatigue
• Headache and weakness
• Can lead to serious complications

While a cold usually improves on its own, the flu can be more severe and may require medical care, especially for young children, older adults, or those with underlying conditions.

If you’re unsure about your symptoms or notice they’re getting worse, Dr. Gupta is here to help guide you and provide the care you need. 💙
