Vienna FFA had a great time competing at the Section 25 FFA Dairy Foods CDE at Harrisburg High School tonight and just as much fun preparing for it. The students identified cheese, checked for milk defects, identified real vs. non-dairy products, and completed a test on dairy and the industry.

Tonight, Vienna FFA traveled to Eldorado High School for the Section 25 Leadership Training School and Green-hand Quiz Bowl. The training was led by 2 Illinois major state officers and our Section 25 officers team, including our very own Mady Bergmann. Our freshman Greenhand Quiz Bowl team took home second place. Congratulations to Hamilton County for first. What a successful event!

Vienna FFA tied for 3rd place out of 48 teams at the SIU invitational horse judging contest this past Friday. Laney Watson placed 5th individually out of 455 contestants, Mady Bergmann placed 15th, and Layton Goines placed 40th. Thank you to SIUC and everyone who helped make this contest possible.

Congratulations to Vienna FFA’s job interview team for placing 1st out of 10 teams at the Section 25 job interview LDE, hosted by Gallatin County FFA. Mady Bergmann placed 2nd individually and will advance to the District 5 competition. Mady also competed in the Section Ag Education CDE, placing 2nd in that event as well, and advancing to represent our section at the district event. Olivia Quertermous placed 7th individually in varsity job interview, and Hayden Jones placed 4th individually in the JV division. We had a little time to kill and had the opportunity to visit the old Shaeneetown bank and learn some local history as well. These Vienna FFA members did an outstanding job!
