Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month is a celebration of the developmental disabilities community and a time to highlight the importance of inclusion across the greater community. Our vision at Langley is to create a trusted community where adults with developmental disabilities can thrive.

How do we support inclusion for those we serve? By empowering our individuals to participate in activities of their choice, that they love, or being in communities that bring them joy, together with their neighbors. Our Direct Support Professionals support this by helping the individuals in our programs refine their social skills, plan activities they are interested in, and provide transportation to help them access their communities, so they Can, Do, and Be just like you and me.

Did you know? Langley supports our residents and program participants in leading fulfilling lives by encouraging them to pursue their hobbies and interests, such as baking, rug-making, cooking, bowling, playing basketball, volunteering in the community, and more. Our Direct Support Professionals support individuals as a sous chef, or an extra set of hands, empowering those we serve to enjoy the activities they love. You can support these pursuits, too, through fun events like our Spare Some Love Bowling Benefit. All event proceeds will directly support the 36 adults with developmental disabilities Langley serves. Spare Some Love, register today! https://bit.ly/4t8L0lj

Helping individuals life rich, full lives

How We Make a Difference

Our programs and services help adults with developmental disabilities realize their dreams to have lives that are like those of everyone else. They dream of:

Living on their own

As they move past childhood and adolescence, many people with developmental disabilities want to leave the family home just like they’ve seen their brothers or sisters do. They want to be as independent as they possibly can and to have a place that they can call their own.
