😟 🌿 A little worry can motivate you to prepare or plan — but when it doesn’t stop, it can take over your mind and body.

🌀 Everyday stress might come and go with life’s ups and downs.
🌧 Anxiety can cause racing thoughts, restlessness, tightness in your chest or trouble sleeping that lasts for weeks.

If worry has started running the show, support and healthy coping tools can help you take back control.

🌿 Try grounding yourself by:
· Taking slow, deep breaths
· Writing down your thoughts to get them out of your head
· Taking a walk or spending time outdoors
· Limiting media that fuels anxiety
· Talking with someone you trust

You deserve peace of mind — and small steps can make a big difference. Don’t let worry steal your calm.

Support doesn’t always mean medication. Sometimes it starts with a conversation, understanding and a plan that meets you where you are.

On Episode 2 of The Live Well Show, "Real Talk About Women’s Mental Health," Heather Ford, MD, a psychiatrist with Willowbrooke at Tanner and part of the Willowbrooke Women’s Services team, discusses how women’s mental health care is individualized — and why treatment isn’t one-size-fits-all.

💕 🕊 You show up for everyone else — but who shows up for you? Caring for others is rewarding, but it can also lead to burnout, fatigue or feelings of isolation.

💬 You can’t pour from an empty cup. Caring for your own mental and emotional health helps you care better for those who depend on you.

🌸 Simple ways to refill your energy:
• Take short breaks during the day.
• Eat well and stay hydrated.
• Get enough rest and unplug before bed.
• Ask for help or share responsibilities.
• Connect with others who understand.

Your well-being matters too. You deserve the same care you give others.

If caregiving has left you feeling drained, support is here for you too.

Our team joined the community for the 2026 Carroll County Fentanyl Awareness Summit, standing together to raise awareness and support recovery in our region. 💜

Hosted at City Station in Carrollton, the summit brought together community members, leaders and advocates to share insights into fentanyl use in Carroll County, hear stories of recovery and connect with resources that save lives.

We were proud to have Brian Gibson, MA, LPC, CPCS, ICAADC, CCTP, MATS, ACS, a primary therapist with Willowbrooke at Tanner, serve as one of the event’s speakers, presenting “You’ve Got to Meet Them Where They Are.” 💬

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, shared your stories and joined the conversation. Events like this remind us that when a community comes together, real change is possible. 🤝

Together, we can continue to fight the fentanyl crisis and support those on the path to recovery. 💪

💞 👩‍👧‍👦 Parenting isn’t always picture-perfect. Some days are filled with laughter, others with slammed doors and tearful talks. When your child or teen pushes limits, argues or withdraws, it can leave everyone feeling frustrated — or even heartbroken.

💬 These behaviors can sometimes be signs of deeper struggles like anxiety, sadness or feeling overwhelmed. Kids may not have the words to explain what they’re going through, but their actions often speak for them.

💡 Here are a few ways to reconnect with and support your child:

• Listen first — sometimes they just need to be heard.
• Create calm moments to talk, not lectures.
• Validate their feelings (e.g., “That sounds really tough…”).
• Set healthy limits with empathy and consistency.
• Model calm by managing your own stress.

Love doesn’t mean having all the answers — it means showing up, even when it’s hard.

If emotions at home feel heavy, help is here for you and your child. Call 770-812-3266 for a free, confidential screening.
