Reid’s Christmas Sponsorship had its 3rd year of giving! This year we gathered enough donations to sponsor 9 children from DFCS, 2 children from GHES, and 3 children from VRES.

Y’all grab your copy of today’s Douglas County Sential. We donated, collected and organized enough to sponsor 26 children in foster care this Christmas. Proud to be a part of a community that is so willing to give back and make a difference.

Reid Plantation’s Christmas sponsorship donations for the foster kids have been delivered.

I am so incredibly proud of our community and I am proud to be a part of this cause.

Our grand totals…y’all ready for this!!

Last year we sponsored 9 foster children. This year our community showed out by going even bigger! This year we ended up sponsoring a total of 26 foster children!!! TWENTY SIX Y’ALL!!

We received a total of $445 in monetary donations and an estimated total of $5,000 in donated toys and clothing.

I am simply speechless. Thank you to those who donated in order to make this happen! A special thanks to JoJo’s Closet who donated PJ’s, socks, and underwear to each child. Also a special thanks to GFWC Carrollton Civic Woman for their partnership in collecting toys. And thank you to those who helped with putting everything together. These 26 children will have a magical Christmas morning.

My heart is so full!

Congratulations to 620 Hemlock Ct for being chosen by our community as the 2022 winner for the best decorated Halloween yard. It was a close vote as 1135 Red Bud Cir was chosen as runner up.

Our community will be trick-or-treating from 6-9pm on Monday, October 31st. Come by and view all of the amazingly decorated homes.
