Our team joined the community for the 2026 Carroll County Fentanyl Awareness Summit, standing together to raise awareness and support recovery in our region. đź’ś

Hosted at City Station in Carrollton, the summit brought together community members, leaders and advocates to share insights into fentanyl use in Carroll County, hear stories of recovery and connect with resources that save lives.

We were proud to have Brian Gibson, MA, LPC, CPCS, ICAADC, CCTP, MATS, ACS, a primary therapist with Willowbrooke at Tanner, serve as one of the event’s speakers, presenting “You’ve Got to Meet Them Where They Are.” 💬

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, shared your stories and joined the conversation. Events like this remind us that when a community comes together, real change is possible. 🤝

Together, we can continue to fight the fentanyl crisis and support those on the path to recovery. đź’Ş

💞 👩‍👧‍👦 Parenting isn’t always picture-perfect. Some days are filled with laughter, others with slammed doors and tearful talks. When your child or teen pushes limits, argues or withdraws, it can leave everyone feeling frustrated — or even heartbroken.

💬 These behaviors can sometimes be signs of deeper struggles like anxiety, sadness or feeling overwhelmed. Kids may not have the words to explain what they’re going through, but their actions often speak for them.

đź’ˇ Here are a few ways to reconnect with and support your child:

• Listen first — sometimes they just need to be heard.
• Create calm moments to talk, not lectures.
• Validate their feelings (e.g., “That sounds really tough…”).
• Set healthy limits with empathy and consistency.
• Model calm by managing your own stress.

Love doesn’t mean having all the answers — it means showing up, even when it’s hard.

If emotions at home feel heavy, help is here for you and your child. Call 770-812-3266 for a free, confidential screening.

🖤 🌺 During Black History Month, we honor the resilience, strength and stories of the Black community — and that includes the journey toward emotional and mental wellness.

Too often, stigma, discrimination and lack of access make it harder for Black individuals to get the care they deserve. About one in five Black adults experience a mental health concern each year, yet fewer than four in 10 receive treatment. Barriers like cost, stigma and mistrust of the system keep many from seeking help.

đź—Ł Ways to support your wellness:
• Talk openly about how you’re feeling with someone you trust.
• Seek providers who understand your culture and values.
• Practice faith, mindfulness or meditation if it brings you peace.
• Surround yourself with people who uplift and support you.
• Take pride in your identity and community — it’s a source of strength.

If you’re ready to focus on your mental wellness, we’re here to stand with you. Call 770-812-3266 for a free, confidential screening.
