Too often, stigma, discrimination and lack of access make it harder for Black individuals to get the care they deserve. About one in five Black adults experience a mental health concern each year, yet fewer than four in 10 receive treatment. Tanner Health Foundation has received grant funding from Fastenal to support the Thrive Together: Student Wellness Project through Willowbrooke at Tanner, Tanner Health's behavioral health division.

The grant will help create student wellness rooms on local middle and high school campuses, providing calming spaces and resources that support emotional regulation, stress management and mental well-being during the school day.
