Green Living celebrated its 8th anniversary this month.

My business venture started as a pursuit to share the truth about health, to help others better understand and navigate their health journey to its full potential.

In lieu of- here are 8 things I do daily to maintain quality health:

1. Cook & eat nourishing whole foods (meat, fruit, vegetables, fat, salt, sugar)
2. Go to bed by 10:30
3. Eat eggs, butter, & fruit for breakfast every morning
4. Take my supplements (beef liver, magnesium, E, & C among the top contenders)
5. Get direct sunlight
6. Move/stretch/play
7. Read
8. Call out the government’s plot to destroy mankind

Only 2 more years of celebratory balloon pics, and then we coast on.

Parents, got a growing child?

Children go through growth spurts, that, combined with athletics/over activity, can lead to aches & pains. An often popular complaint in growing boys is anterior knee pain. I treat knee pain in youths often.

Our 5 year old is growing like a weed-and simultaneously jumped a little too much at “The jump place” (Defy). He woke the next day with-you guessed it- anterior knee pain.

The stretch pictured is highly effective for the any knee issues. Make sure the stabilizing leg is at a 90 degree angle with heel firmly planted in the ground.

Massage of the quads can be helpful as well.

Osgood-Schlatter Disease: inflammation of the patellar ligament at the tibial tuberosity.

OR, in my professional opinion, fancy lingo for inflammation/pain erupted by a combination of overuse of the quadricep group/underuse of the glutes & hamstrings and excessive growing rate in the youth.

Pain or inflammation of the anterior knee is extremely common in growing athletes. Determining the structure’s imbalances & merging them with sport-specific maintenance has proven very effective in my practice.

This is my 94 year old Great Uncle! He’s having a minor back issue, so I met him at his nursing home to assist him with the rehab program we designed for him.

Can you believe this man is 94!? His secret? “Milk from the cow, eggs from the chickens, lots of butter, and smiling.”

What a testament to wholesome nutrition & state of mind 💙

...Despite what mainstream health whispers in your 👂🏻

❣️The flexibility of blood vessels is decreased by a low-salt diet, & vascular stiffness caused by over activity of the sympathetic nervous system is considered to be an important factor in hypertension, especially with aging (Griffith and Sutin, 1996).

❣️”One way of looking at those facts is to see that a lack of sodium slows metabolism, lowers carbon dioxide production, & creates inflammation, stress, and degeneration.”- Dr. Ray Peat, PhD.

❣️ Rephrasing it- Sodium stimulates energy metabolism, increases carbon dioxide production, and protects against inflammation and other maladaptive stress reactions.

Time to question your doctors and the medical industry in it’s entirety.

Ah back pain...the ailment that keeps my doors open & my phones ringing.

Back pain remains one of the largest medical enigmas of our time. Roughly 65-85-% of back pain is idiopathic in nature, meaning no known or spoken cause of pain exists.

So what can you do to address chronic back pain?

1. Reduce Systematic Inflammation by eating metabolically friendly foods as frequently as possible (animal protein, fruit, root veggies, saturated fat). Digestive issues are linked to low back pain.

2. Supplement with magnesium, liver, & collagen to replenish mineral loss.

3. Ditch the gym machines & move in a functional way.

4. Educate yourself on the Fascial System (my page is a great start).

5. Visit my website or call (225)938-0170 for an extensive evaluation.
