What an incredible day at the 3rd Annual Simulation Institute!

On March 18, 2026, educators, clinicians, and simulation professionals gathered in Driscoll Hall for a full day of interactive learning and skill‑building. From our opening remarks by Dean Donna Havens to the inspiring keynote by Dr. Kathleen McGrow, Chief Nursing Innovation Officer at Microsoft, the day was filled with fresh ideas and meaningful collaboration.

Participants explored a variety of simulation topics, including birth companion program innovations, simulation‑based strategies to reduce bias, and a virtual IPE IDD simulation featuring cross‑disciplinary teamwork.

Thank you to everyone who made the day so energizing and impactful!

Congratulations to PhD candidate Mary Beth Murray, the "People's Choice" winner at Villanova's Three Minute Thesis (3MT®), a competition for master’s and doctoral students to develop and showcase their research and communication skills. In just three minutes, she offered a compelling, scholarly presentation on "Addressing the Silent Grief: A Yoga Intervention to Support Women in Infertility Treatment" to an audience at the Mullen Center on Feb. 20.
