Four weeks have passed since our transition to CommonSpirit, and we'd like to take a moment to update the community: Good Samaritan Hospice is still accepting new patients and is honored to continue serving the community. While some adjustments have been necessary, including a new office location (new address on flyer), new charting systems, and revised processes, many things remain the same. Our phone numbers and fax numbers (numbers listed on flyer) remain unchanged, and our team continues to deliver exceptional patient care. Our nurses, nursing assistants, and social workers are still dedicated to providing the same level of care and compassion. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us by phone or in person. We thank you for your support and understanding during this transition.

We just realized we are having some phone issues. If you need to reach the nurse please contact the hospital operator at 812-882-5220 and ask for the hospice nurse on call. We apologize for the inconvenience as we work through this issue.

Warming shelters and centers are open across Indiana for any Hoosier who needs to get out of the cold.

Shelters are a safe place for anyone needing to get out of the cold for a few hours or to stay overnight. Hoosiers who need additional assistance can call 2-1-1.

The Light Up a Life banner is now proudly displayed outside the hospice house for all to enjoy and remember those who have passed. Please stop by anytime in the next couple weeks to view it at 601 S. 9th St.

We had such a great turnout on Tuesday for our Annual Light Up a Life memorial service.

We want to thank everyone who was able to join us. We are honored to have been able to spend the evening with you as we memorialized your loved ones. This is such a meaningful and special event for those involved and it is a privilege for our staff to host each year.

Happy retirement to Rob and Suzi today. They have been a benefit not only to the hospital as a whole, but to our hospice program as well. We wish them well, from the GSH Hospice team!

Join us in congratulating Rob McLin, CEO, and his Administrative Assistant, Suzi Sievers, on their well deserved retirements from Good Samaritan! Today is their last day after 34 and 36 years, respectively. We wish them both well in their retirements!

Our annual Light Up a Life memorial service is coming up! We have decided to make some slight changes and try something new due to things being a little hectic at the end of the year and holiday time. The service this year will be after the New Year on Tuesday, January 13th, 2026! We are very excited for this wonderful evening and hope to see you there.

There are still a couple weeks left to get the name of your loved one submitted to be placed on the banner and read during the program.
